Here’s the fourth and final part in this series of free tools you can use for monitoring what is being said about you and others in social networks.
TweetPsych allows you to create a psychological profile of any public Twitter account and compares it to the thousands already in the database. This identifies those traits that are used more or less frequently by the user analyzed.
Tweet Scan searches Twitter.
TweetVolume allows users to submit up to three words or phrases to search how often they appear on Twitter. TweetVolume enables visitors to see and learn how people are communicating. It’s good for measuring popular words and phrases and identifying popular brands, issues and themes.
Twitrratr claims you can distinguish negative from positive tweets surrounding a brand, product, person or topic.
UPDATE 14 Feb 2011: Give the Twitrratr tool a miss. Don’t bother with it. Its results are old. It looks like it works -but it doesn’t pick up the latest tweets. (And special thanks to Jeffry Pilcher for letting me know about this.)
TwitterCounter helps you track statistics of Twitter users.
Twitter Grader is a free tool that allows you to check the power of your Twitter profile compared to millions of other users that have been graded.
Twitturly is a Social media management tool.
Twingly is a tool for sharing group discussions and micro-blogging at the same time with friends and other people who are nterested in the same topics as you.
Usernamecheck allows you to enter your trademark and check to see if it is available as a user name in the top 20 social networks.
What’s the Buzz? is a keyword research tool with the aim of helping you find out who is talking about a certain keyword.
YackTrack allows you to search for comments on your content from various sources or other blogs that talk about your content.
That’s it. It’s quite a big list but probably not totally comprehensive. Please let us know what we missed.
